Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday held a Janata Darshan at Gorakhnath Temple, personally listening to the grievances of nearly 200 citizens and instructing officials to take prompt action for their resolution. The program came shortly after the Chief Minister spent two consecutive days overseeing security and arrangements for devotees during the Makar Sankranti/Khichdi Mahaparv. Action Against Corruption and Irregularities During the Janata Darshan, several complaints were raised regarding irregularities in the allotment of land pattas in villages. CM Yogi directed officials that wherever complaints of money being taken for land pattas arise, investigations should be conducted immediately, and strict action should be taken against those responsible. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need for law enforcement to act decisively against criminals, instructing police officers to ensure strict action is taken against offenders. During the program, a woman expressed concerns about her financial struggles and the marriage of her daughter. The Chief Minister directed officials to include her daughter in the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana (Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme) to ensure timely arrangements for the wedding. Healthcare Support for the Needy Several citizens approached the Chief Minister seeking financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses. CM Yogi assured them that lack of funds would never delay medical treatment. He instructed officials to prepare high-level treatment estimates promptly for all needy patients and ensure immediate financial support from the government once the estimates are ready. Direct Engagement with Citizens During the Janata Darshan at the Mahant Digvijayanath Smriti Bhavan auditorium, the Chief Minister personally approached citizens seated in the audience, listened to their grievances, and referred their petitions to the concerned officials for speedy and satisfactory resolution. He reassured citizens that the government remains committed to addressing every grievance and ensuring justice and welfare for all.
