New Delhi: Salve Sandeep is all set to take over as the next Director (Human Resources) of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. His name was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) during its 102nd selection meeting of 2025, held on October 27. Sandeep Emerges as Top Candidate Currently serving as General Manager at AVNL, Sandeep was selected from a pool of nine candidates interviewed by the PESB panel. The applicant pool included two candidates from Engineers India Limited (EIL) and one each from AVNL, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), BEML, HUDCO, Indian Oil, THDC India Limited, and Gokaldas Exports Limited. His responsibilities will include: HR planning and manpower management Performance and compensation management Succession planning and talent development Training and capability building Employee services and industrial relations Corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives Security and legal functions His appointment is expected to bring a renewed focus on strengthening human resource strategies and improving operational efficiency across AVNL.
