The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) to extend the central deputation tenure of Mr. Sunil Bhagwat Chaudhari, a 2008-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer. Also Read: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri Faces Online Abuse Over Ceasefire Announcement; Civil Services Associations Rally in Support Mr. Chaudhari will continue serving as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs for an additional one year, from June 5, 2025, to June 4, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme began on June 5, 2020. Before his current assignment, Mr. Chaudhari had also served as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, contributing significantly to policy and fiscal administration.
