New Delhi: In a significant personnel decision, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of 22 officers of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) for promotion to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) for the year 2026. The empanelment includes 11 officers in the Main Panel and 11 officers in the Extended Panel, paving the way for their elevation to senior leadership positions in the Indian Railways’ finance and accounts administration. The Higher Administrative Grade is one of the most important milestones in the career progression of Group ‘A’ officers and qualifies them for top-level assignments in the Government of India and major public sector organisations.
