New Delhi: NTPC Talcher Kaniha, in collaboration with the Government of Odisha and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) 3rd Battalion, Munduli, organized a disaster awareness programme on February 4, 2026. The initiative aimed at educating employees, local villagers, and students on emergency preparedness and safety measures, reinforcing the importance of community resilience. Event Highlights and Participation The awareness programme was held at the township auditorium and attended by around 300 participants, including: NTPC employees CISF personnel Union and association members School principals and students Local villagers and contract workers Township security personnel The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including: Mr. K. Concluding Remarks In his address, Mr. K. Narasimha Reddy praised the NDRF for organizing the programme and thanked all participants for their involvement. He emphasized that such disaster awareness exercises are vital for site safety and community preparedness, and will play a key role in strengthening future emergency management strategies.
