New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande for the position of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). WCL is a vital subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), responsible for significant coal production in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The recommendation now awaits formal approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), after which Dr. Pande will assume charge and lead WCL toward its strategic goals.
