Rajasthan: NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has awarded Notifications of Award (NOAs) to KPI Green Energy Limited for a 500 MW grid-connected solar PV project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The total contract value stands at ₹621 crore (excluding GST), marking a significant development in India’s renewable energy expansion. Project Split into Two Large Solar Blocks The solar project has been divided into two segments: 300 MW block worth ₹367 crore 200 MW block worth ₹254 crore This structure allows phased execution of the large-scale renewable energy project in Rajasthan. Strategic Entry into Rajasthan’s Renewable Hub The project marks KPI Green Energy’s entry into Rajasthan, one of India’s most important solar energy hubs. The state is known for its high solar potential and strong renewable infrastructure development. The contract significantly expands the company’s geographic presence and strengthens its position in the utility-scale solar energy segment.
