The Yogi Adityanath government has cancelled the leave of officials at this level, comprising Group A and B IAS, IPS, PCS, and PPS, until February 12. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has issued instructions to all department heads in this regard.
The Global Investors Summit has been organized in the capital Lucknow from 10 to 12 February. In this, many big personalities including the Prime Minister, the President as well the industrialists of the country and the world will be involved. Therefore, this decision has been taken in view of their preparations and security arrangements. Those suffering from incurable diseases have been exempted from this.
The Global Investors Summit will be critical in bridging the UP’s regional industrial economic gap. The manufacturing sector accounts for the lion’s share of the 23 lakh crore in domestic foreign investment proposals received before to the summit. Bundelkhand and Purvanchal will become major industrial centres in the near future as a result of their execution. Furthermore, in terms of exports, this region of the state will compete with western and central Uttar Pradesh.
The investment plans presented at the Global Investors Summit are ready to be implemented within a year to two years. That is, commercial production will begin in significant investment projects in 2025. Some businesses may begin manufacturing much sooner. The UP government has received numerous key sector-specific recommendations from Deloitte. It has been suggested that UP should prioritise the manufacturing sector. Other sectors must be prioritised for exporting.
