PM Confers Awards For Excellence in Public Administration on Civil Service Day 2022, 5 J&K Officers Among the Awardees

- Five officers from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have been conferred the award for Excellence in Public Administration which include, Sheetal Nanda, Dr. Piyush Singla, Anshul Garg, Baseer-ul-Haq, and Ravinder Kumar.

On the occasion of Civil Services Day 2022, PM Narendra Modi addressed civil servants and called upon the district officials to draw an action plan to implement the government schemes on the ground, as per news agency ANI report.
PM also conferred 16 awards for excellence in public administration at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. The awardees were awarded 5 ‘Priority Programmes’ and for innovations in the sphere of public administration will be given this year. This includes:
(i) Promoting “Jan Bhagidari” or People’s Participation in Poshan Abhiyan
(ii) Promoting excellence in sports and wellness through the Khelo India scheme
(iii) Digital payments and Good Governance in PM SVANidhi Yojana
(iv) Holistic Development through One District One Product scheme
(v) Seamless, End-to-End Delivery of Services without Human Intervention
Four IAS officers from Jammu and Kashmir, who have been conferred the award, include Sheetal Nanda, Administrative Secretary Social Welfare Department, Dr. Piyush Singla, Anshul Garg, and Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, the three Deputy Commissioners presently posted in Anantnag, Jammu and Pulwama districts and Ravinder Kumar, Agriculture Secretary in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
