A 1974 batch IAS officer from Bihar cadre, Ranjit Sinha, took his last breath on Friday morning. It is being said that he tested positive for Covid 19 on Thursday.
Sinha, a senior bureaucrat, became the CBI chief in 2012. Prior to this, he also headed the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force and the Railway Protection Force. Apart from this, he severed at various key positions in the Central Bureau of Investigation in Patna and Delhi.
