Mr. Keshav Desiraju was a retired IAS officer and former Union Health Secretary. He died at a private hospital in Chennai due to acute coronary syndrome on Sunday morning.
He was retired as the Union Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs. Even after his retirement he continued to serve on advisory boards of several organizations and contributed towards improving public health. He particularly worked for the improvement of mental health, primary health care, community health & other related issues in society.
