- Mr. Ajith Kumar is an IPS of Kerala cadre and 1995 batch.
The state government of Kerala issued fresh appointed for Ajith Kumar as ADGP (Civil Rights), a newly created post. For his appointment, the government created this new post and declared it equivalent to ADGP, (Headquarter) for the next one year.
Let it be noted that the IPS officer was recently shunted out from the post of Director (Vigilance & anti-corruption bureau) due to a controversy related to gold smuggling case. An accused in gold smuggling case Swapna Suresh claimed an acquaintance of her had spoken to a senior police officer for help.
