More than 10 % officer trainees test positive for covid-19 at LBSNAA

The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) is also not spared from the attack of Coronavirus. More than 10 % officer in training having been tested positive till Saturday. On Friday 33 officer were affected by the Covid-19 while 24 more were tested positive on the very next day. The total number has now reached to 57. Seeing this outbreak the academy situated in Mussorrie has been shut down for two days.
Let it be noted that in the past week suddenly the corona cases in the country specially the capital has increased taking the total active cases above 46.5 thousand.
The Director of Academy Dr. Sanjeev Chopra has emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken to break this chain and the positive patients have been properly quarantined in special Covid Care Centre inside the campus.
All the trainees have been advised to be isolated in their rooms while strictly following all the norms like social distancing, wearing masks and washing hands. Mr. Chopra also said that all the activities including training will be done online till December 3.
The 95th foundation course had started at the academy on October 13. Currently 428 trainee officers are part of this 15 week long foundation course which includes OTs who joined IAS, IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IFS (Indian Forest Service) and Indian Police Service.
