UPSC preliminary examination has been scheduled for October 10, 2021. The preliminary examination was earlier scheduled to be on June 27. However, it got postponed due to the second wave of covid-19.
UPSC has given some instructions which the candidates have to follow on the exam day.
The UPSC has said, “Candidates are prohibited to carry mobile phones (even if switched off), pager or any other electronic equipment or programmable device like pen drive, smartwatch, camera or Bluetooth which are capable of being used as a communication device in the examination hall.”
The commission has said, “Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safe-keeping cannot be assured.”
Apart from this, the commission has also advised students to not carry any luxurious items to the examination hall.
This year, UPSC will select 712 candidates in IAS, IPS, and other civil services vacancies through Preliminary examination, main exam, and interview.
