School children of Alleppey have come forward to eradicate extreme poverty in the district
Under a novel idea of the DC, Krishna Teja, 800 school were requested to adopt 3613 poor families of the distrcit
'Children of Alleppey' program was launched to provide a support to all the poor families of the district
Voluntarily many students from all the 800 schools and fulfilled the ultimate goal of the initiative which is to understand the importance of sharing and caring
With the contribution of district panchayat, MLAs etc. first Monday of each month is announced as 'Community Service Day' in schools
