Couldn't Clear Prelims In 5 Attempts Becomes IAS in 6th

She could not clear prelims exam even her 5 attempts. But with her hard work and zeal, she became IAS in her 6th effort. 

This is the story of patience and courage of IAS Ramya CS. After repeated failures, she did not give up and continued preparing for the UPSC Examination with full dedication.

Finally, she got success in her 6th attempt. She was on cloud 9 when cleared the toughest examination of the country. She secured AIR 46 in UPSC CSE in 2021.

Ramya hails from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She graduated in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Coimbatore Institute of Technology. A keen learner, Ramya also completed her MBA from IGNOU.

To prepare for the Civil Services Examination, Ramya quit her job at an instrumentation company based in Bengaluru in 2017. She worked there for more than 3 years.

However, Ramya took up data entry and data collection jobs to earn while preparing for UPSC CSE. 

Her most valuable advise for UPSC aspirants is that "One should not be jumping into the preparation without understanding what the civil service examination is all about."
