Wanted to Quit After Failing 4 times, Become IPS With Mother's Suggestion

Akshat Kaushal was very frustrated after failing 4 times in UPSC and wanted to quit. 

He believed that perhaps it was not in his destiny and UPSC is not his cup of tea. But he tried for the fifth time at the behest of his mother and passed the exam in 5th attempt. 

Akshat Kaushal belongs to Faridabad. He got an engineering degree in Electronics & Communications. He was interested in journalism.

So he did PG Diploma in English Journalism from prestigeous IIMC Delhi. After this, he also worked as a reporter in a newspaper.

Akshat started preparing for UPSC in the year 2011. He gave his first attempt in 2013 and failed. After this he failed 4 times in a row.

He was badly broken after failing four consecutive times. It was then, he decided not to give the next attempt. But his mother persuaded him for the next attempt.

This time his hard work paid off and he finally cracked the exam in 5th attempt. He got 55th rank in UPSC CSE exam. He became IPS.

Akshat is married to IAS Officer Ankita Mishra. His optional was Sociology. He attended coaching this.
