She is Swati Meena, an IAS officer of 2007 batch, belongs to MP cadre. She hails from Sikar district of Rajasthan. Her father is an RAS officer.
Swati completed her early studies from Ajmer. Her mother wanted Swati to become a doctor. But when she was in 8th class, one of her aunts became an officer. After that she also decided to prepare for UPSC.
After completing her studies, she started to prepare for IAS exam. Her father helped her to prepare for the written test and the interview.
Swati secured AIR 260th rank in UPSC examination in 2006 and became the youngest IAS in her batch.
She got posting in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh. She fearlessly took action against mining mafias. Since then the mining mafia started fearing her actions.
Swati's husband Tejashwi Nayak is also an IAS officer. He belongs to Madhya Pradesh cadre, and originally hails from Karnataka.
