Elephant Calf Finds a Playmate in a Crane

Senior IFS officer Mohan Pargaien has shared a beautiful video on X, of the interaction between a baby elephant and a crane

Senior IFS officer Mohan Pargaien has shared a beautiful video on X, of a baby elephant being helped to come out of a ditch with the help of a crane. It seems the calf had fallen into a hole dug into the ground in a forest area and was facing difficulty in getting out of it. It tries to climb up only to slip down again and again. It could finally climb out when a crane pushed it gently from behind. However, on getting out, the little one did not go away immediately to join its herd. Instead, it stayed on to play with the long metal arm of the crane with its trunk, for a while. Adorable!

The officer also gave an appropriate caption to the video: “Thank you dear. You can be my play buddy too.”
