New Delhi: The Centre has appointed two officers – Mukul Mohan and Abhinandan Kumar Mishra – as Joint Advisors in the National Disaster Management Authority for a period of five years.
According to separate orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on March 24, 2026, both appointments have been approved by the competent authority under central deputation arrangements.
Mukul Mohan appointed Joint Advisor (Mitigation Project and Procurement)
Mukul Mohan, an officer of the Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) of 2007 batch, was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Railways.
He has been appointed as Joint Advisor (Mitigation Project and Procurement) in NDMA.
His tenure will be for five years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Abhinandan Kumar Mishra appointed Joint Advisor (Mitigation Project)
Abhinandan Kumar Mishra, an officer of the Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) of 2012 batch, was recommended by the Department of Defence for central deputation.
He has been appointed as Joint Advisor (Mitigation Project) in NDMA for the same five-year period.
Posts fall under Ministry of Home Affairs
Both positions are under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs and are classified as Non-CSS posts.
The appointments are expected to strengthen NDMA’s project execution and disaster mitigation planning framework, especially in infrastructure-linked preparedness and procurement management.
