Leadership Updates: Ashutosh Gautam Approved for Executive Director (Civil) Post at RVNL

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced the final status of applications for the post of Executive Director (Civil) on an immediate absorption basis.

The announcement follows the vacancy notification issued on January 24, 2026, and a corrigendum released on February 25, 2026. After reviewing applications and providing candidates an opportunity to submit representations, RVNL has now confirmed the final list of eligible and ineligible candidates.

Final Selection Process Completed

RVNL had earlier published a provisional list on March 18, 2026, inviting candidates to raise objections or submit supporting documents by March 22, 2026. As no representations were received within the stipulated timeline, the provisional list has been finalized without any changes.

Ashutosh Gautam Declared Eligible

Mr Ashutosh Gautam (Date of Birth: April 18, 1969) has been declared eligible for the post of Executive Director (Civil).

The candidate will be informed separately regarding the interview schedule and further selection procedures.

List of Ineligible Candidates and Reasons

RVNL also released details of candidates found ineligible, along with reasons:

  • Mr Shaik Abdul Khadar Basha – Insufficient experience (less than 4 years in E-8 grade) and does not meet specific criteria
  • Mr Sanjay Kumar – Currently working on a contract basis
  • Col. Sudeep Kumar Mishra – Does not meet required grade (Level-13) and experience criteria
  • Mr Prashant Pathak – Less than 5 years of experience in highway project execution

The organization clarified that these decisions are final, and no further correspondence regarding eligibility will be entertained.

The selection process reflects RVNL’s commitment to transparency and merit-based recruitment. By allowing a window for representations and publishing detailed eligibility criteria, the PSU ensured fairness in the hiring process.
