In a remarkable decision taken by the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), the competent authorities have dedicated its Hall No. 106, the main lecture hall of the basic course, in respect to the late IPS officer K Madhukar Shetty.
The decision has been taken in regards to the officers commitment, dedication and being a role model for many IPS probationers.
Mr. K Madhukar Shetty was a 1999 batch IPS officer from Karnataka cadre. He is remembered for playing an important role in exposing llegal iron ore mining in Ballari, the backyard of powerful mining baron Janardhan Reddy.
The officer passed away on 28 December 2018 while he was being treated for Swine Flu in Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad.
