The Odisha government issued a transfer order of several IPS and IFS officers across the state with immediate effect on Wednesday, 9 June.
The list includes the present IGP of Northern Range, Sambalpur, Narasingha Bhol who has now been posted as IGP, central range, Cuttack. Whereas, IFS officer S.K. Popli has been transferred and posted as PCCF (Kendu leaf) Odisha.
1997 batch IPS Diptesh Kumar Pattanayak presently working as IGP, Eastern Range, Balasore was transferred and posted as IG, Prisons. Pattanayak has replaced 2003 batch IPS HK Lal who has now been posted as IGP, eastern range, Balasore.
2004 batch IPS Deepak Kumar, who was on the central deputation, was posted as DIGP, northern range, Sambalpur following his return. Apart from this, 25 other Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers were posted with a new charge.
