The Byadarahalli Police Station, Bengaluru started an initiative called ‘Navachethana’ to help people get rid of drug use in Bengaluru. The initiative was taken by Sanjeev M Patil, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Division, Bengaluru.
Mr. Patil is an IPS officer belonging to the 2015 batch of Karnataka cadre.
On Monday, 83 people suffering from addiction began receiving medical and psychiatric help. A specialist team of Dr. Rajani, Dr. Divya GN, Dr. Vikram Arunachalam, Dr. Sachin IK, Dr. Manoranjan Hegde, Sri Raghav& Ms. Manjula S. were also present in this initiative.
