Noida District Magistrate Suhas Yathiraj on Saturday entered the men’s singles SL4 finals after beating Indonesian player, Fredy Setiawan.
In a 31 minute match, the Indian shuttler thrashed the Indonesian with a scoreline of 21-9, 21-15 in the Tokyo Paralympics. The game started with a good note for the Indian shuttler as he could get a sufficient lead to build up the pressure against the Indonesian. This resulted in a fabulous victory for Mr. Suhas who also became the first-ever civil servant from India to reach the finals of the Paralympics.
The final match for the men’s singles SL4 will be played between Indian shuttler Suhas LY and French shuttler L Mazur at 5:30 am IST on 5 September.
