Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to allow women to apply for National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examinations on Friday.
The decision was made following Supreme Court’s decision to let women participate in the exam from this year onwards. UPSC has decided that application for this exam will be allowed to “women candidates only who are otherwise eligible in terms of nationality, age, educational qualifications, etc.”
Applicants interested to apply for NDA or NA examination may register themselves to the official UPSC website. https://upsconline.nic.in/
The application window will remain open from 24th September to 8th October, 2021 (till 6 pm). No application will be accepted after the prescribed timeline or through any other mode than online mode.
On the website, it is further stated that there will be a ceiling or limit on the number of applicants allotted to each center. Allotment of seats will be only on the ‘first come first serve’ basis.
Women applicants are not required to pay any examination fee related to the said examination, which is scheduled to held on 14th November, 2021.
