Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Civil Services (Main) Examination 2021. As per the Civil Services 2021 examination schedule, the mains exam will be conducted on 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 January, 2022.

Along with this, the commission has also opened the online application window for filling the Detailed Application Form – I (DAF) for appearing in the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2021.

The candidates who have been declared successful in the preliminary examination can apply through the Form DAF activated on the UPSC application portal, upsconline.nic.in.

UPSC has fixed 1st December 2021 as the last date to fill the detailed application form for the main examination.

Candidates who have qualified the UPSC IAS prelims result 2021 will be eligible to appear for the UPSC IAS mains exam 2021, scheduled to start on January 7, 2022.

The Civil Services mains exam will have a total of nine descriptive papers, which will be conducted on the above-mentioned days.

Candidates should note that they will also have to pay a fee of Rs 200 while filling the DAF for Civil Services Main Examination, which can be paid through online means. However, SC, ST, Women and Divyang candidates do not have to pay the application fee, these candidates are given complete fee waiver by the commission.

How to check UPSC IAS mains timetable 2021?

  • Go to the UPSC website – upsc.gov.in
  • Search for the Time table for Civil Services Mains Exam 2021 link and click on it.
  • The IAS mains examination schedule will be displayed
  • Download and save the UPSC IAS 2021 mains time table for reference.

UPSC has announced to conduct the Civil Services Main Examination in 24 cities of the country which are Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati) , Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada.
