The senior IAS officials working in the Chief Minister’s Office were given new assignments from Wednesday. Special chief secretary K S Jawahar Reddy, released the orders giving new departments to the officers in the CMO.
Jawahar Reddy is the new entry into the CMO replacing Praveen Prakash, who was sent to Delhi as senior resident commissioner for AP Bhavan.
Mr. Reddy is the special chief secretary to the chief minister, would be looking after the general administration, home, revenue, environment, forests, science and technology, health, medical and family welfare, law, legislative affairs, industry, commerce, infrastructure, investments, correspondence with the central government and the CMO establishments.
Another senior officer, Solomon Aroikaraj would be looking after food, civil supplies, consumer affairs, education, panchayat raj, rural development, mines, geology, information technology, electronics, communication and all welfare departments. The industries and commerce department which he was holding earlier, was now removed and given to special chief secretary Jawahar Reddy.
Secretary to the chief minister, K Dhanunjaya Reddy, will be holding finance, planning, water resources, agriculture, municipal administration, urban development, energy, tourism, culture, youth affairs, marketing and cooperation.
R Mutyala Raju, who is additional secretary to the chief minister, will be handling references from public representatives including MLAS, MPs, revenue including lands, registration, stamps, survey and land records, CMRF, disaster management, housing, transport, roads and buildings, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), labour, employment and skill development.
