IAS officer Dr K.S. Jawahar Reddy, who worked as special chief secretary to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, will take over as the new chief secretary to the Andhra Pradesh government on Wednesday.
Incumbent chief secretary, Sameer Sharma, retired on November 30.
Before becoming the Chief Secretary, Mr. Jawahar Reddy was Special Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, and had served in various capacities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
He had started his career as Narsapuram Sub-Collector in 1992-94.
