Odisha Government Appoints Four IAS Who Were Undergoing Phase II Training

Odisha government, in a minor reshuffle, posted four IAS officers from the 2018 batch who were awaiting their first independent posting after phase II online training.

Odisha government, in a minor reshuffle, posted four IAS officers from the 2018 batch who were awaiting their first independent posting after phase II online training. The official notification was issued on 3 August 2020, by General Administrative and Public Grievances Department, Odisha.

Keerthi Vasan V, an IAS officer who scored an All India Rank (AIR) 29 and is an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli has been appointed as the new Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Ganjam as an in-charge of COVID Management. Vasan opted for Political Science and International Relations as an optional subject while appearing in UPSC and had excellent academics throughout his studies.

Subhankar Mohapatra, an MBBS student who achieved AIR 46 in 2017 UPSC exam has been transferred and posted as Sub-Collector, Balliguda in the District of Kandhamal. Subhankar who hails from Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar cleared IAS in his third attempt. Before this he cracked the post of IRS and IPS in 2015 and 2016 respectively, however, he wanted to become an IAS officer.

Suryawanshi Mayur Vikas has been posted as the Sub-collector Sambalpur. He was undergoing phase II training. Mayur cleared the UPSC exam in his fourth attempt grabbing AIR 373. In the first two attempts he could not clear the prelims however, he reached the interview stage in his third attempt. Though he could not clear the interview in his third attempt, he finally cleared the civil services exam in his fourth attempt securing 373rd rank.

 J Sonal was posted as the OSD, Gajapati as an in-charge of COVID management. Sonal a BA. LLB graduate grabbed AIR 689 in UPSC 2017 exam.
