No Casuals for Chandigarh Housing Board Employees

Employees of Chandigarh Housing Board can’t wear casuals anymore. CEO of CHB, Mr. Yashpal Garg, has issued a notice regarding this asking officials to avoid wearing casual and fancy attire to the office. According to him, it gives a wrong message about the organisation.

The notice came after Mr. Garg saw an official wearing jogging trousers or joggers and a round-neck multi-coloured t-shirt to work on July 19. He stressed about maintaining a professional image and reasoned that people visiting the Chandigarh Housing Board will feel that they are dealing with irresponsible officers. The officer also expressed concern about the contractual and outsourced staff coming to office in casual attire.
