The central government has promoted four officers to the position of Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes within the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes). The order was issued by Central Bureau of Indirect Taxes. The officers are Prabhat Kamal Rameshwaram, Bharat Prakash, Vishal Pal Singh, Pankaj Kumar. They all are IRS (C& IT ) of 2006 batch.
Whereas, two other officers have been promoted to the position of Principal Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes within the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), at level 15 of the Pay Matrix. Their promotion will be effective from either September 1, 2023, or from the date on which they officially assume their new roles, depending on which is later. The officers who have been promoted are Manoj Kumar Kedia, KVVG Diwakar. They both are IRS-C&IT officer of 1994 batch.
