Following a directive issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (Department of Personnel & Training), a senior Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) officer, Ms. Aldealyne Nikhla, got promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the joint Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
Mr Nikhla is a 2000 batch MCS officer who joined the service as Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) in Tura and had served as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of the East Khasi Hill.
