The Board of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) gave the nod to the Government of India for the proposal of borrowing Rs. 24,200 crores for the Financial Years 2024 and 2025. This lump sum shall be raised through bonds, perpetual debt instruments (PDI), term loans, commercial papers, and external commercial borrowings (ECB).
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), via a directive issued by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) mandated Mr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty to take additional charge as Director (Technical) in IREDA for a tenure of 6 six months from March 5th, 2024, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever transpires earliest. Mr. Mohanty succeeds Mr. Pradip Kumar Das as the CMD of IREDA.
