NBCC Secured New Work Orders Totaling Rs 23,500 cr During the Fiscal Year 2023-24

NBCC (India) Limited, a prominent public sector undertaking, announced on Tuesday that it had successfully obtained projects totaling Rs 23,500 crore in the previous fiscal year.

The company disclosed in a statement that it had achieved significant business growth during the financial year 2023-24.

Compared to the previous fiscal year, NBCC reported a substantial increase in new project acquisitions, amounting to Rs 23,500 crore on a consolidated basis and Rs 18,400 crore on a standalone basis, in contrast to Rs 6,700 crore (consolidated) and Rs 4,225 crore (standalone).

Notable among the projects secured during 2023-24 is additional FAR (floor area ratio) works in Amrapali, valued at approximately Rs 10,000 crore.

K P Mahadevaswamy, the Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, highlighted the company’s expertise in construction and infrastructure, particularly in redevelopment and land monetization initiatives.

He emphasized NBCC’s strong position with a robust order book and strategic focus on redevelopment and land monetization, projecting sustained growth and contributing to India’s construction and infrastructure development. Additionally, NBCC secured its first redevelopment project outside of Delhi from the Kerala State Housing Board (KSHB), valued at Rs 2,000 crore.

The company also ventured into the agri-infrastructure sector with the construction of grain storage under the “World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan,” valued at approximately Rs 1,500 crore. Furthermore, NBCC obtained redevelopment and modernization projects for Government of India Presses through a self-financing model and secured various infrastructure works for SAIL Bhilai, Bokaro, Durgapur, and Burnpur, totaling Rs 580 crore.

In the financial year 2023-24, the company awarded works amounting to about Rs 9,800 crore across different projects.
