In a significant development today in Rohtak, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) welcomed three influential new members into its fold, enhancing its strength ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The induction ceremony, held at the BJP’s state headquarters ‘Mangal Kamal’, was graced by former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The new additions to the party include retired IAS officer Dharambir Khatak, former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the CM, Amarjeet Singh, and retired Professor Jai Narayan, a noted educationist.

During the event, Khattar assured the newcomers of full respect within the party ranks. The new members expressed their commitment to actively support and work for the victory of BJP candidates across their respective regions.

In a statement to the media, Khattar highlighted the growing support for the BJP in the state, attributing the surge to the trust and confidence people have in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He was optimistic about the BJP retaining all ten parliamentary seats in Haryana, citing positive public response at recent poll meetings.

Addressing political dynamics, Khattar discussed the recent withdrawal of support by three independent MLAs from the BJP government, stating that the matter had been resolved and posed no threat to the stability of his administration. He revealed that several opposition MLAs, including those from Congress, were in discussions with the BJP, hinting at possible future defections.

On the topic of governance, Khattar confirmed that a floor test was not immediately on the cards as the government had already demonstrated its majority under new Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He clarified that another floor test could not be held within six months as per the rules but noted that any necessary decision would be taken by the speaker and the governor if the situation demands.
