As many as four members of the 2022 batch of IAS Officer Trainees have recently been appointed to the post of Assistant Secretaries with the Ministry of Defence at the central level.
The Trainee Officers are:
- Akavaram Sasya Reddy IAS (Odisha 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech – Civil Engineering and recently concluded her District training at Jharsuguda, Odisha.
- Arpit Chauhan, IAS (Maharashtra 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and recently concluded his District training as a Supernumerary Assistant Collector – in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
- Mohit Kasniya IAS (Rajasthan 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and recently concluded his District training as Assistant Collector – Bundi, Rajasthan.
- Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak IAS (AGMUT 2022), holds a degree in B.Tech and recently concluded his District training as Resident Additional Collector – Khanvel Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
For a duration of eight weeks, from May 20, 2024, to July 12, 2024, the Officer Trainees will be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of their designated duties. This phase of their careers is crucial since it provides them with direct exposure to governance and policy implementation at the top echelons of the Indian bureaucracy.
