The Kerala government issued an order on February 10 to appoint IAS V P Joy new Chief Secretary of the state.
IAS officer of 1987-batch, V P Joy will succeed incumbent Chief Secretary Vishwas Mehta, 1986-batch. Joy will take over the charge on March 1, 2021 and will be serving till June 30, 2023.
While Mehta has been appointed Chief Information Commissioner.
