On June 26th, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh conferred the prestigious status of “Miniratna” (Category-1) to Central Electronics Limited (CEL) at its Golden Jubilee celebration at its Ghaziabad campus. The Cabinet Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research’s (CSIR) Director General Dr. N Kalaiselvi, CEL’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Mr. Chetan Jain, along with several senior officials of the Union, graced the programme.

While felicitating the PSU with the coveted accolade, Dr. Singh said, “We feel proud that the Golden Jubilee Celebrations are being graced by the Vice President of India Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar, and his guidance and motivation will persuade us to contribute more for the betterment of the country. Fifty years of dedication, perseverance, and success is a testament to the hard work, commitment, and vision that propelled this journey of excellence.”

During his address, Dr. Singh expressed his contentment over the new initiatives taken by CEL Management to strengthen employee engagement that eventually led to its outstanding performance over the last few years and an all-time high achievement in the previous financial year. The Minister affirmed that CEL had ticked the right boxes of performance parameters for the grant of higher status of Miniratna (Category-1).
