Jammu & Kashmir: IPS Sujit Kumar Felicitated With IGP Rank

Amidst a recent development, IPS officer Sujit Kumar was bestowed with the rank of Inspector General Police (IGP) by the Director General of Police (DGP) of J&K, IPS R.R. Swain (1991 batch) and Special DG, IPS Nalin Prabhat (1992 batch) during a piping ceremony held here today. The incumbent IGP of Kashmir, Mr. V.K. Birdi (2003 batch IPS officer), was present on the occasion. Mr. Sujit Kumar, a 2007-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, last served as the Incharge IGP Security of the Jammu & Kashmir (UT) Administration.
