The transfer order of five senior IAS officers was issued by the Punjab government on Monday 17 August 2020 with immediate effect.
According to the movement order, senior bureaucrat Anurag Agarwal who is an IAS officer from 1990 batch has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Power. He was currently holding the charge of ACS (Health). Along with the new position, he has also been given an additional charge of ACS New & Renewable Energy Sources and Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd.
Hussan Lal a senior IAS officer of 1995-batch has replaced Anurag Agarwal as the new Principal Secretary, Health, and Family Welfare. He was previously holding the charge of Principal Secretary, Sports & Youth Services in addition to Principal Secretary, Elections and Commissioner, Food & Drug Administration.
Principal Secretary, Finance, KAP Sinha has also been given an additional charge of Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. Whereas, Jaspal Singh who is currently working as the Principal Secretary, Planning, has been given an additional charge of Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairy Development and Principal Secretary, Elections.
Lastly, K Siva Prasad a 1993-batch IAS officer who was holding the charge of Principal Secretary Transport has been given an additional charge of Principal Secretary, Sports & Youth Services.
