In a significant initiative to boost opportunities for civil services aspirants, the Assam Raj Bhavan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram to provide free coaching for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE). The MoU was signed by S S Meenakshi Sundaram, Commissioner, and Secretary to the Governor, and Kavita Asthana, Secretary of Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram, in the presence of Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya.
The initiative, part of the newly launched Governor Assam’s Pratibha Pratsahan Yojana, aims to tap into the potential of Assam’s youth by offering them the resources needed to excel in one of India’s toughest exams. At the signing ceremony, Governor Acharya emphasized the state’s abundance of talent, stating, “Assam, like its natural resources, is rich in human potential. With the right platform, our youth will excel and bring laurels to the state.”
Under the scheme, deserving candidates will receive free coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which is expected to empower young minds and enable them to realize their dreams of joining the Indian civil services. Governor Acharya added, “This initiative will not only enhance the capabilities of our candidates but also assist them in achieving their ambitions.”
The agreement highlights the Assam Raj Bhavan’s commitment to fostering the intellectual and professional growth of the state’s youth, giving them a pathway to national governance and administration success.
