In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has ordered the transfer of two IAS officers and one DANICS officer in a move aimed at optimizing administrative efficiency.
Ashish Chandra Verma (IAS: 1994: AGMUT), currently serving as Principal Secretary for Finance with an additional portfolio in Planning, has been assigned additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary (Revenue) cum Divisional Commissioner and Principal Secretary for Land & Building. This shift is expected to enhance the coordination between these crucial departments.
K Mahesh (IAS: 2009: AGMUT), previously holding the position of Special Director in the UTCS, will now serve as Special Secretary in the Department for Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities. He replaces Neeraj Bharti (IAS: 2013: AGMUT), who has been relieved of his duties in this role.
Additionally, Anil Banka (DANICS: 1997), who has been working with the New Delhi Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner for South East.
