The intern in the story is 2016-batch Indian Revenue Officer, Mr Ashok Charan, who is currently posted as Deputy Director of Income Tax (DDIT) in Income Tax wing at Jaipur. The crime he busted was tax evasion to tune of over Rs 25000 crores. He was without any security in the factory, under a threat that his cover might be blown anytime.
