The UPSC Civil Services Examination is difficult. With its vast syllabus, fierce competition, and multi-stage selection process, it’s a test that demands not just intellectual prowess but also unwavering dedication and resilience. Yet, Srishti Dabas from Delhi has defied the odds, etching her name among the elite.

Watch her journey here-

Srishti’s journey to the top is like a remarkable story of never giving up, no matter what. While most people spend years just studying for the UPSC exam, Srishti managed to handle a tough job at the Reserve Bank of India along with studying for the exam. Before that, she also worked at the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. But it wasn’t easy. She is raised by a single mom who faced many challenges but always stayed positive. She learned a lot from her mother, especially about staying strong even when things get tough. This inspired her to help others and make the world a better place.

Delhi’s Srishti Dabas has scripted a remarkable success story, etching her name among the toppers of the prestigious UPSC CSE 2023. In her very first attempt, she secured an impressive All India Rank 6.

The true marvel of Srishti’s success lies in her phenomenal time management skills. Juggling a full-time job with the demanding UPSC preparation could have daunted even the most resolute individual. However, she approached her studies with laser-sharp focus. Early mornings were devoted to pre-work study sessions, while lunch breaks at the office were meticulously utilized for quick revisions. Weekends were carved out for focused study preparations, and days off became precious revision opportunities.

Academic excellence further bolsters Srishti’s profile. A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, she pursued a Master’s degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University.

Beyond the textbooks and rigorous preparation, Srishti recognizes the importance of a strong support system. During interviews, she openly acknowledges that her mother’s unwavering belief in her has been the driving force behind her success. Witnessing her mother overcome challenges head-on instilled in Srishti the courage to chase her dreams, even when faced with adversity.

Srishti’s ascent to the top of the UPSC ranks is a resounding message to aspiring civil servants. It signifies that with unwavering dedication, meticulously planned strategies, and a supportive family, even the most ambitious goals can be achieved. Her story is not just about clearing the UPSC; it’s about defying the odds, and emerging as a role model for a generation eager to contribute to a better tomorrow.
