IFS officer Nilakshi Saha Sinha has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia. She is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and known to be a official translator of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Ms. Sinha has often been seen with PM Narendra Modi. Nilakshi Saha has a good hold on Hindi, English, Bengali and French languages. Nilakshi has knowledge of 15 languages and has accompanied the Prime Minister on 14 foreign tours.
“Ms Nilakshi Saha Sinha, presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in an official statement.
