With the state’s legislative assembly elections just around the corner, two IAS officers in West Bengal have been transferred and posted with a new charge.
2012 batch IAS officer Vibhu Goel who is currently serving as District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, has now been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, West Bengal.
Smita Pandey a 2005 batch IAS officer, has replaced Goel to become the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur. Pandey was currently posted as Secretary- IT & Electronics Deptt with additional charge of MD- West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL).
