Senior IAS officer Mr. Ajay Seth has been given additional charge as Secretary, Department of Expenditure (GOI). An IAS officer of 1987 and Karnataka cadre, Mr. Seth will be taking this charge from TV Somanathan who is on leave.
Mr. Seth is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs. According to the order released by Department of Personnel & Training, he will take the additional charge in edition to his present duties.
He has served on very crucial roles and was instrumental in the progress on Bengaluru Metro. He also played pivotal role in approval of the Silk Board to Airport Line Phase.
