New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Amit Tandon for the post of Director (Projects) at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a key PSU under the Ministry of Railways.
Tandon, who currently serves as Principal Executive Director (Metro) at RVNL, was selected from a pool of 10 candidates interviewed by the PESB on October 11, 2025.
Veteran in Civil Engineering and Metro Projects
A Civil Engineer from the 1990 batch of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Tandon brings with him over 33 years of extensive experience in infrastructure and the construction sector. He is widely recognized for his strategic contributions during his tenure at Delhi Metro, where he was instrumental in developing last-mile connectivity solutions.
Candidates from Top PSUs Considered
The PESB panel interviewed candidates from prominent public sector organisations including:
- RVNL
- IRCON International Limited
- Coal India Limited
- Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)
- Ministry of Railways
After thorough evaluation, the panel found Tandon most suitable for the position, which plays a critical role in the planning and execution of railway infrastructure projects across India.
