Visakhapatnam: Dredging Corporation of India Ltd (DCIL), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has announced the retirement of Arun Kumar Gupta from the post of Independent Director, effective July 4, 2025.
His departure marks the conclusion of his three-year tenure, as confirmed by DCIL in a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges.
End of Board and Committee Roles
With the completion of his term, Mr Gupta has also ceased to be a member of all Board Committees of DCIL, effective the same date.
The company expressed its acknowledgement of Gupta’s contributions during his tenure, which coincided with a crucial period of operational and strategic developments within the organization.
Distinguished Career in Maritime Sector
Mr Gupta is a veteran of the shipping and maritime industry. He holds a degree in Marine Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Shipping Management. He previously served as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI), one of India’s largest shipping enterprises.
His extensive expertise in maritime operations, shipping logistics, and corporate governance has been a valuable asset to DCIL’s board over the past three years.
